About Us

JDG Web Design was established in January 2008 by John and Linda Garlinge. The Company is based in Kirkcaldy, Scotland.

JOHN GARLINGE

John is a Web Developer/Designer with extensive experience. He initially trained as a Web Designer in Edinburgh in 2005, studying CSS/HTML/PHP/MySQL. In 2006 he began freelancing as an HTML/CSS Developer; during this period he started training in Open Source CMS. He has a preference for Drupal, but has also worked with Joomla and WordPress.

As a freelancer he has worked with clients in both the UK and US and he has been Sole or Lead Developer on a number of projects. Passionate about good web development standards and practices, he updates his skills regularly.

John is a chemistry graduate from University of London who previously had a career as a Production Director in manufacturing.

His interests include ten pin bowling, growing vegetables and West Ham United.

LINDA GARLINGE

Linda is currently handling the administration for the business, whilst studying for an advanced certificate in Copywriting.

Originally from Fife, she spent 20 years in London, working for 10 years in 2 Japanese banks in the City. This was followed by taking a full time degree course in Modern History at University of London and a number of  years working in Arts Administration, before returning to Scotland in 2004.

Linda's interests include The Arts, cookery, writing and meditation.
